Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation in Calgary
Through movement analysis and targeted interventions, we help active individuals and athletes avoid injury and recover faster—so you can stay strong and pain-free.
At our Calgary clinic, injury prevention and rehabilitation go hand in-hand to support active individuals, athletes, and anyone looking to move better and hurt less. We treat common concerns like tendonitis, ligament sprains, muscle imbalances, and repetitive strain injuries through individualized programs that focus on strengthening, mobility, and correcting faulty mechanics. By identifying risk factors early and addressing movement dysfunction, we help improve performance, speed up recovery, and reduce the chance of future injuries—so you can stay active with confidence.
Most injuries don't happen randomly. They happen because something in the way you move, load, or recover has been building toward a problem — and nobody caught it in time.
At MSKrehab, injury prevention isn't a generic exercise handout. It's a clinical process. We assess how you move, identify where your body is compensating or under-loading, and build a targeted program that addresses the actual risk factors before they become injuries.
Who this is for: This service is designed for active individuals and athletes who want to stay that way. Whether you've had a previous injury that didn't fully resolve, you're noticing recurring pain with activity, or you want a baseline movement assessment before ramping up training — a structured injury prevention assessment gives you clinical clarity about where your vulnerabilities are.
What the assessment includes:
-
Movement and loading pattern analysis specific to your sport or activity demands
-
Strength and range of motion testing with objective measurements, not guesswork
-
Identification of muscle imbalances, movement compensations, and mobility restrictions that increase injury risk
-
A targeted, progressive program built around your findings — not a generic protocol
Common conditions we address:
Tendonitis and tendinopathies, ligament sprains and instability, repetitive strain injuries, muscle imbalances contributing to joint pain, and post-injury recurrence prevention.
The MSKrehab difference:
With FCAMPT-level training, we assess movement and loading patterns with the clinical depth of an advanced manual therapist — not just a fitness assessment. Combined with Gunn IMS dry needling where nerve-related muscle dysfunction is identified, and exercise prescription built on objective strength and endurance measures, your prevention program is grounded in what your body actually needs.
If you're managing a current injury alongside prevention goals, see our sports physiotherapy and post-surgical rehab pages for more detail.
